First trimester 3D ultrasound placental volume at 11th to 13th weeks gestational age for predicting preeclampsia

چکیده
Background: After the 20th week of pregnancy, preeclampsia is diagnosed when a woman develops new-onset hypertension (systolic blood pressure 140 mm Hg or higher, diastolic 90 higher) and proteinuria (300 mg more in 24-hour urine collection, 1+ on dipstick testing). The aim this work was to determine sensitivity placental volume (PV) first trimester at 11th 13th week+6 days predicting preeclampsia. Methods: This prospective observational study carried out 250 women with any gravidity, singleton pregnancy between gestation based last menstrual period first-trimester ultrasound. All patients were subjected laboratory investigations (CBC, Renal function tests, Random sugar tests detect proteinuria.) imaging. Results: specificity PV differentiating normotensive 60.0%; 60.0% respectively. There high significant difference preeclmpesia cases regarding PV. Conclusions: lower as compared nonpreeclamptic highly statistical that means 3D measurement could increase predictive accuracy for pre-eclampsia.

Reproducibility of 3-Dimensional Ultrasound Measurements of Placental Volume at Gestational Ages 11 – 14 Weeks
OBJECTIVE To evaluate the reproducibility of placental volume using three-dimensional ultrasound. METHODS The VOCAL (Virtual Organ Computer-aided AnaLysis) technique involves rotating an image of an object along an established axis using predefined angles. This provides a number of sections to measure manually, resulting in the object being displayed with an estimated placental volume. Four p...
متن کاملComparative Assessment of Ultrasound Placental Findings in Small for Gestational Age and Normal-Weight Fetuses
Background Small for gestational age (SGA) refers to newborns whose birth weight is less than the 10th percentile for gestational age. The aim of this study was to provide a comparative assessment of ultrasound placental findings in SGA and normal-weight fetuses in singleton pregnant women. Materials and Methods In...
متن کاملFirst trimester screening of maternal placental protein 13 for predicting preeclampsia and small for gestational age: in-house study and systematic review.
OBJECTIVE To describe normative levels of PP13 in first trimester of pregnancy and determine the accuracy of PP13 in predicting preeclampsia and small for gestational age (SGA) infants. METHODS We measured PP13 in archived first trimester serum samples from an unselected maternal cohort of 2989 women. Associations of PP13 levels and diagnostic accuracy in predicting adverse pregnancy outcomes...
متن کاملDistinct First Trimester Cytokine Profiles for Gestational Hypertension and Preeclampsia.
OBJECTIVE Gestational hypertension and preeclampsia involve dysregulated maternal inflammatory responses to pregnancy, but whether such responses differ between the disorders has not been determined. We aimed to investigate disease-specific early pregnancy serum cytokine profiles of women subsequently developing gestational hypertension or preeclampsia for new insight into the underlying pathog...

OBJECTIVE To combine a specific algorithm for small for gestational age (SGA) without preeclampsia (PE) and another algorithm for PE in the prediction of SGA and PE. METHODS This was a screening study of singleton pregnancies at 11-13 weeks including 1,426 (2.3%) that subsequently developed PE, 3,168 (5.1%) that delivered SGA neonates and 57,458 that were unaffected by PE and SGA. We develope...
